House rules

House rules Dear holiday guests!

Our vacation home is intended to be a home away from home. You should feel comfortable and able to relax. We have put a lot of effort into the furnishings and hope you will find everything you need. The following house rules are intended to help ensure a pleasant stay. We have also listed a few rules that we hope you will understand. By treating the apartment properly, you will help us continue to offer you and other guests satisfactory accommodations in the future.

General: If you are missing anything in the facilities or need assistance, please feel free to contact us. All items located in the holiday home, in the garden, or on the terrace, may and should be used by guests. Please treat all furnishings and inventory with care and treat the rental property with respect. Please ensure that your fellow travelers also comply with the rental conditions.

Kitchen: Please treat the kitchen equipment and appliances with care. Since a dirty kitchen is no one's cup of tea, please only store dishes, pots, and cutlery in the cupboards when they are clean and dry. Do not place hot pots and other hot objects on tables or countertops without trivets. Always use a cutting board when cutting food. Please leave the interior of the oven and microwave clean. Frying pans with a non-stick coating may only be used with a plastic-coated spatula (do not use a knife or fork!)

Grill: Follow the instructions on the appliance. Be careful when handling the open flame.

Damage: No one intentionally damages things, but it can happen to anyone. We would appreciate it if you would report any damage so that we can discover it during the final cleaning, rather than waiting until after your departure. The tenant is liable for any damage up to the replacement cost.

Ventilation: To prevent mold growth, we ask you to ventilate the rooms sufficiently. Ventilate at least once a day for 5-10 minutes, especially after showering.

Duty of Care: We ask our guests to treat the rental property with care and ensure that fellow travelers and relatives also comply with the rental conditions. The front door should always be closed and locked with a key when leaving the house. Likewise, all windows must be closed when leaving the apartment to prevent possible damage from storms or burglary. Water, electricity, and gas (heating) must be used sparingly.

Disposal (filled garbage bags must not be stored outside)!

Holiday Home at the Lake View: Waste is separated into residual waste, paper, and packaging with the green dot. Appropriate containers are available in the dining room or on the property.

Holiday home at the Knoten: Garbage cans are available along the paved road; all bins from the swimming pool to the forest may be used!

Residual waste: animal excrement, cigarette butts, hygiene products and diapers - black bin

Paper and cardboard Newspapers, magazines, writing paper, cardboard packaging - Blue bin

Plastic packaging, films, tubes, cans or plastic bags - Yellow bin

Biowaste Plant residues and garden waste, fruit and vegetable waste - Brown bin

Please only use trash cans and cosmetic bins in the bathroom with trash bags, and dispose of them in the general waste bin. No garbage, hygiene products, food scraps, harmful liquids, or similar items may be thrown into or poured into the kitchen sink, toilets, washbasins, or showers! Avoid anything that could clog the pipes (do not flush hygiene products or wet wipes down the toilet!).

Cleaning: Should you encounter any accidents (extreme dirt, spills on the floor or work surfaces, etc.), we ask that you clean them immediately. We ask that you leave the apartment swept clean upon departure and put all used dishes back in the cupboards and/or load them into the dishwasher and run them. You will find the appropriate cleaning utensils in the kitchen or in the cupboard by the wardrobe (in the holiday home at the Knoten: cleaning utensils are under the sink and under the sink in the bathroom).

Quiet Hours: In the spirit of good neighborliness, we ask you to observe public quiet hours, such as lunchtime, nighttime, and Sunday quiet hours. Quiet hours should also be observed in the holiday home itself between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. out of consideration for neighbors.

Internet/Wi-Fi: The holiday home has wireless internet access (Wi-Fi). The access code is provided in the welcome pack. Use of the internet with your own Wi-Fi-enabled device (laptop, PDA, smartphone, etc.) via the Wi-Fi connection is free of charge for tenants. Use of the internet is at your own risk; the landlord disclaims all liability in connection with the tenant's internet usage.

Smoking (lake view only) Smoking is permitted in the holiday home only in the conservatory with its stone floor. Please open at least one window when smoking and keep the doors to the rest of the conservatory or holiday home closed. Please dispose of completely cooled cigarette butts in the ashtrays or the black ash bin behind the house.

Smoking (only at the Knoten) Smoking is not permitted in the holiday home at the Knoten! You are welcome to smoke on the terrace.

Pets: Pets are permitted after consultation with the landlord. Pets are not allowed on the cushions or in the bed. Please bring a blanket or something similar for your pet to sleep on.

Use of the parking spaces does not constitute a safekeeping agreement. The landlord is not liable for any loss or damage to motor vehicles parked or maneuvered on the property, including their contents.

Do not park within the swinging area of the garage door, and generally exercise caution in the swinging area of the garage door. The landlord is not liable for damage caused by opening or closing the garage door.

House law: If repairs are urgently needed, it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the vacation rental without the guest's knowledge. However, we will generally try to inform you in advance. Driedorf or Greifenstein municipal employees or chimney sweeps may also appear at the door unannounced. In such cases, please refer to the landlord.

Keys: Please never hand over the keys. Lost keys must be reported immediately, and the guest is liable for the replacement cost.

Liability The landlord is not liable for the valuables of the guest(s).

Arrival and departure:

Arrival is usually contactless from 4 p.m., and the front door can be opened automatically with a code. On the day of departure, we ask our guests to vacate the holiday home by 11 a.m. at the latest. Upon your departure, the holiday home should be left as you found it. After closing the front door, close the door and press the arrow on the touch panel.

"Our house rules are designed to ensure a pleasant and harmonious coexistence for all guests and residents. If guests fail to adhere to the established rules, this may cause inconvenience to others, such as noise pollution or disorder.

In such cases, it's important that we work together to find solutions. Should violations occur repeatedly, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures to ensure compliance with the rules. In the worst case, this could mean premature termination of the stay.

We kindly ask all guests to respect the house rules so that everyone can have a pleasant and relaxing stay. If you have any questions or concerns, we are happy to help at any time. Thank you for your understanding!

By booking the holiday home, we assume that you accept the house rules and terms and conditions. Thank you for your attention. We wish you a pleasant stay, lots of fun, relaxation, and recreation. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Your hosts Isabell and Benjamin Stunz

Defects and damage discovered upon arrival must be reported to the landlord immediately; otherwise, the tenant is liable for these damages. A reasonable period of time must be allowed to remedy damage and defects. Claims arising from complaints that are not reported immediately on site are excluded. Complaints received by the landlord only at the end of the stay or after the holiday home has been vacated are also excluded from compensation. In the event of any disruptions to performance, the tenant is obligated to do everything reasonable within the scope of their legal obligation to help rectify the disruption and minimize any damage caused. On the day of departure, tenants must remove all personal belongings, dispose of household waste in the designated containers, and store clean and washed dishes in the kitchen cupboards, or load and run the dishwasher. Smoking is only permitted in the rear conservatory or outside. Please also observe our house rules.

6. Data Protection The tenant agrees that, within the scope of the contract concluded with him, necessary personal data may be stored, modified, and/or deleted. All personal data will be treated with absolute confidentiality.

Likewise, we accept no liability for unforeseeable or unavoidable circumstances such as official orders, sudden construction work, or disruptions due to natural or local conditions. However, the landlord will be happy to assist in resolving any problems (as far as possible). The landlord is not liable for the use of the provided play and sports equipment. The tenant is responsible for their own arrival and departure. The landlord is not liable for personal belongings in the event of theft or fire. Guests must ensure their own safety in snow and ice. The landlord reserves the right to make changes to the furnishings (e.g., furniture), provided they are of equivalent quality. Should one or more provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects the economic and legal intent of the contracting parties. German law applies. The place of jurisdiction and performance is the landlord's place of residence.
