About us

Hello we are Isabell and Benjamin,

the Westerwald is our home, where we grew up, got married and started a family. We have been married for 13 years and have a son.

Even if we like to travel ourselves, we are quickly drawn back home. (Where else it is beautiful, but at home in the Westerwald it is still the most beautiful)

We want to show our guests why we like to live here so much and want to give you the opportunity to explore the area with a good starting point. To make this easier, we have put together a travel guide where various destinations can be found. (every guest receives this by email)

Rules

House rules Dear holiday guests!

Our holiday home should be a second home for you. You should be able to feel good and rest. We have put a lot of effort into setting it up and hope you find everything you need. The following house rules should be an aid for a harmonious stay. We have also listed some rules that we hope you will understand. By treating the apartment properly, you will help us in the future to offer you and other guests satisfactory rooms.

General Should you miss anything in the facility or if you need help, please do not hesitate to contact us. All things that are in the holiday home or in the garden or terrace, or belong to it, may and should be used by guests. Please handle all furnishings and inventory carefully and treat the rental property with care. Please ensure that your fellow travelers also comply with the rental conditions.

Kitchen Please handle the kitchen equipment and technical devices with care. Since a dirty kitchen does not please anyone, please only put dishes, pots and cutlery in the cupboards when they are clean and dry. Please do not place hot pots and other hot items on the tables or countertop without coasters. Always use a cutting board as a base for cutting. Please leave the interior of the oven and microwave in a clean condition. Frying pans with a non-stick coating may only be used with a spatula with a plastic coating (do not use a knife or fork!) The extractor hood may only be operated when the tiled stove in the dining room is not in use!

Grill Follow the operating instructions on the device. Be careful when handling the open flame.

Damage Nobody damages things on purpose, but it can happen to anyone that something breaks. We would be happy if you inform us of the damage incurred and we do not find it out after your departure during the final cleaning. The tenant is liable for damage in the amount of the replacement costs.

Ventilation To avoid mold growth, we ask you to ventilate the rooms sufficiently. At least 1x burst ventilation a day for 5-10 minutes and especially after showering.

Duty of care We ask our guests to treat the rental property with care and to ensure that fellow travelers and relatives also adhere to the rental conditions. The entrance door should always be closed and locked with a key when leaving the house. Likewise, all windows must be closed when leaving the apartment in order to avoid possible damage from storms or burglary. The resources water, electricity and gas (heating) must be used sparingly.

Disposal The waste is separated into residual waste, paper and packaging with the green dot. Corresponding containers are available in the dining room or on the property. Please only use garbage cans and cosmetic bins in the bathroom with garbage bags and dispose of them closed in the residual waste bin. No waste, hygiene articles, leftover food, harmful liquids or the like may be thrown or poured into the kitchen sink, toilets, wash basins and showers! Avoid anything that can block the pipes (no hygiene items or wet wipes in the toilet).

Cleaning Should a mishap (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or work surfaces, etc.) happen to you, we ask you to rectify this immediately. We ask you to leave the apartment swept clean on departure and to put all used dishes back in the cupboards and / or in the dishwasher and put them on.

Quiet times In the interests of good neighborliness, we ask you to observe the public quiet times such as lunchtime, night and Sunday rest. Out of consideration for neighbors, silence should also be kept in the holiday home between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Internet / WLAN There is a wireless internet connection (WLAN) in the holiday home. The access code can be found in the welcome folder. The use of the Internet with your own WLAN-enabled device (notebook, PDA, smartphone, etc.) via the WLAN connection is free for the tenant. You use the Internet at your own risk; the landlord excludes any liability in connection with the tenant's use of the Internet.

Smokers Smoking is only allowed in the winter garden with the stone floor. Please open at least one window to smoke and keep the doors to the rest of the winter garden or holiday home closed. Please dispose of the completely cooled cigarette remains in the ashtray or in the black ash bin behind the house.

Pets Bringing pets is permitted after consultation with the landlord. The pet is not allowed on the cushion or in the bed. Please bring a blanket or something similar. with where the pet can stay.

Parking You can park directly in front of the holiday home. Max. 4 parking spaces (two of them wide and two narrow). When using the parking spaces, no custody contract is concluded. The lessor is not liable in the event of loss or damage to vehicles parked or maneuvered on the property and their contents.

Garage Bicycles etc. can be stored in the garage. be turned off. The landlord is not liable for loss of or damage to bicycles or the like. Do not park in the swing area in front of the garage door and generally be careful in the swing area of ​​the garage door. The landlord is not liable for damage caused by opening or closing the garage door

Winter The house is inhabited by the guest alone. The guest must ensure their safety in snow and ice. The landlord provides a snow shovel and salt in the anteroom. Please use both to clear the outside stairs and walkways of snow and ice. The landlord is not liable for accidents caused by snow and ice.

Housekeeping If repairs are necessary immediately, it can be essential that the landlord has to enter the holiday home without the knowledge of the guest, but we will usually try to inform you beforehand. Unannounced employees of the Driedorf community or chimney sweeps can also stand in front of the door. In such a case we ask you to refer to the landlord.

Keys Please never let the keys out of your hand. A loss of the key must be reported immediately and the guest is liable up to the amount of the replacement costs.

Liability The landlord is not liable for valuables belonging to the guest (s).

Arrival and departure Arrival is from 4 p.m. (except by prior arrangement). contactless and the key is removed from the key box with a code. On the day of departure, we ask our guests to vacate the holiday home by 11 a.m. at the latest (unless agreed). When you leave, the holiday home should look the way you found it. After closing the front door, throw the key that you took from the key box when you checked in into the mailbox!
